Our charity for 2023
At our meetings and events we raise money to support the charities we have agreed to support for a particular year. Members have the opportunity to vote for a charity to support in 2023. Any charity supported by WIs must fit with the WI core aims, to educate and empower women. The charity must be local and must impact on women and children.
The charity we have chosen to support in 2023 is the Amyloidosis Society it is close to the heart of Wanstead WI as it is the disease which shortened the life of our former President Christine who passed away last year. All the money raised from our home 'Home Produced' table will be donated and we are hoping to organize some Fundraising Events in the Spring & Summer.
