WI Campaigns
Resolutions for 2024
In January members had the opportunity to vote for one of four short-listed resolutions:
- Dental Health Matters
- Impacts of Poor Housing
- Say "No" to gambling advertising
- Improving outcomes for Women in the Criminal Justice System
Whipps Cross Hospital: Save the Margaret Centre campaign.
Frances, Ann and Hazel have continued to keep us updated on the fight to save the Margaret Centre at Whipps Cross hospital &, and have encouraged us and the public in Wanstead to support this ongoing campaign. Members have also been participating in workshops on end of life & palliative care at the hospital to produce a report for the board members. The focus is not just about increased funding. but also about access to services, looking at the.systems and improving communications between patients, their families and all agencies involved in the provision of care
The Resolution for 2023 was Clean Rivers for People and Wildlife
