Our charity for 2019
Wanstead WI supports and raises funds for a local charity throughout the year. The criteria are based on women and community. See 2018 Charities page for details of our contributions last year.
Members voted in February to support CHAOS, a local charity which provides holidays for children living in East London boroughs who would otherwise not have a holiday.
We will also continue to support a local foodbank by bringing donations to our monthly meetings. Many thanks to the following people for agreeing to collect our donations at WI meetings and deliver them to Sally's kitchen in Leytonstone afterwards:
- May 16 - Sugra T
- Jun 20 - Linda M
